ANZAC Service

Wattle Grove Primary will have a special ANZAC Assembly on the grass outside the undercover area (near the flag  poles). The service will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Parents and families are more than welcome to attend.

A special thank you to Tanya and Karen (and their Room 23 helpers) for your assistance in making our beautiful wreathes. It was really appreciated and your commitment and creativity continue to blow me away each year.

Easter Fun with our Kindy Buddies

Last week, we met our Kindy buddies from Mrs Fletcher's class for the first time! Room 23 were very excited. It is a a special privilege to be role models for the younger students and I was so impressed with the way the students interacted with their new buddies, trying to make them feel comfortable. We made tasty "egg surprises" with Mrs Chaplyn and Mrs Fletcher and we also helped our small buddies make lovely cards for their families. We can't wait to see our buddies again!

Congratulations

Congratulations to Room 23 on having 100% of the class dressed up for the Harmony Day Parade. This stylish bunch were awarded 15 minutes extra recess and a lunchie from Ms Roberts. Thank you to all the families for supporting this event!

Harmony Day

On Wednesday, the 23rd of March, Wattle Grove  Primary School celebrated Harmony Day with a Dress Up Parade in the morning. It was a wonderful event and a huge thank you to all the parents and families for supporting this event. It was very pleasing to see so many students dressed in national dress or orange for this special day. The ‘House of Harmony’ Art Installation created by Miss Randall and the children at Wattle Grove was superb, with the  walls being decorated with lots of harmony messages by the students. It is always wonderful to celebrate the diversity that makes up our school, our community and our nation.
