In writing, we have been creating poems, incorporating
different parts of speech. Last week, the students made acrostic poems about
themselves. They then published these to look like rainbows, which are hanging
in our classroom. Josephine did an excellent job of incorporating rhyme and
figurative language.
Joyfully as can be,
One, two three, I am me.
Special as busy bee in a hive.
Elegant as a swimmer doing a dive.
Perfect as a bird,
High voices being heard.
Intelligent at dancing,
Neat at prancing.
Extraordinary as gold.
