Reading is a Hoot!

 

In our classroom, I foster a love of reading. The students are encouraged to read a wide range of literature and try out new genres. A trip to the local library is also a fun way to develop healthy reading habits. The last few weeks we have been focusing on connecting. Connecting is when we make links between a part of the text and other things that we have read or experienced. Here are some photos of students enjoying reading in the classroom.
