Literacy Pro

Literacy Pro is a program available to Year 3-6 students at Wattle Grove. It is a motivating program, which allows students to take comprehension quizzes at home, testing how well they've understood  the books they have chosen and read.

Mrs Granger has tested the students in library and they all know their Lexile Level. This helps them to select books at their level, making home reading more enjoyable. While we have a wide range of Lexile books available in the school library, quizzes are also available on other titles (you can check whether a quiz is available by using the search function). 

To access Literacy Pro, simply type it into your web browser and hit enter. There will be a link called Scholastic Learning Zone that will take you to the website.The first time you log on, you will notice that the default school is Hillcrest. Click change.  You will need to enter the Wattle Grove Organisation ID (2W3K). Then students will be able to enter their user name and the password (wgps5459). This is case sensitive and won't work if Caps Lock is on. Any issues, let me know.

The children are very enthusiastic and a special mention must go to Toby Bailye, who has already read close to 4000 words this term, passing 2 comprehension quizzes with a 100% accuracy rate. A tremendous effort!
