NAIDOC Week Celebrations

On Thursday, August 5, Room 23 participated in an incursion that was both informative and engaging. They were able to view some artefacts that are significant to the Aboriginal community and learn some of the native language. The students then performed the NAIDOC song they have been learning in music at a whole school assembly, which celebrated diversity. In class, we read the Dreamtime story ‘How the Birds Got Their Colours.’ The students then illustrated an alternate ending to the story. The work they produced was amazing! We are now working on writing some fitting captions for our masterpieces. Make sure you pop in and look at these fantastic pieces.
