Buddy Reading

This term, we have been working on improving our oral reading. Effective oral readers not only decode words well, but also pay careful attention to the punctuation in texts, reading with expression and intonation. After library each Thursday, students share in Buddy Reading. They read a page from their book, focusing on their fluency. Their partner then gives them a rating out of 3 and they celebrate their success.
