A few weeks ago, our Student Councillors had their very first
meeting. In their learning teams, students discussed issues around the school
and brainstormed ideas that might help to create a happier, safer school
environment. The students in Room 14 voted on the idea of building a cubby
house to cater for the growing number of junior students in the school. I was
so proud of the way the students conducted themselves, taking on their roles
with responsibility and commitment. This is a fantastic opportunity for
students to develop their public speaking skills, ability to solve problems and
to resolve conflicts democratically.
Thank you
to the students who took on special roles at the Class Meeting-
