On Friday
the 10th of February, we celebrated Aussie Day at Wattle Grove! It
was great to see the kids dressed up in their patriotic attire, all to raise
money for the Cancer Foundation. It was a tight squeeze but we managed to fit
the whole school (around 720 kids!) in the undercover area for our first whole
school assembly. In Room 23 we discussed the significance of the Australian
National Anthem and, in their teams, the children illustrated what each verse
meant to them.
