Is it easy to be green? What do you think? In Room 12, our latest Big Write topic made us question the difficulties but also the advantages of recycling, to tie in with our sustainability topic. First, we learnt 5 new vocab words and wrote these in our “Wow! Dictionaries.”
Then we critiqued some example texts on the same topic, highlighting the effective and improvement points.
We couldn’t wait to share with our shoulder partner!
We then developed our success criteria.
Next, together with Miss B, we wrote a great introduction, including emotive language and even a rhetorical question.
Each team was then given the task to co-operatively construct one paragraph of the argument, including examples and lots of wow words of course!
The final step was to put all our paragraphs together and read our work aloud, to check it made sense. We then wrote a conclusion as a class.
